About extract

extract
Identify and extract reusable components, design tokens
extract is an agent skill from the impeccable design project that finds repeated UI patterns in a codebase and moves them into a design system. It looks for components that appear many times, such as buttons, cards and inputs, for hard-coded colors, spacing, typography and shadows that should be tokens, and for inconsistent variations of the same idea, such as three different button styles. It also looks for layout, composition and interaction patterns that are worth turning into shared pieces. The skill first locates the design system, component library or shared UI folder by searching for the usual names, and it learns the component organization, naming conventions, token structure, documentation style and import and export habits. If there is no design system at all, the skill stops and asks before it creates one, because the location and structure should follow the team's preference. Once the patterns are found, it plans the extraction, covering component APIs, token hierarchies and naming. It requires the /impeccable skill, which holds the design principles and Context Gathering Protocol. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/pbakaus/impeccable --skill extract. On skills.sh it passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk.
