About flutter-fix-layout-issues

flutter-fix-layout-issues
Fixes Flutter layout errors
flutter-fix-layout-issues is an agent skill from Flutter's agent-plugins collection for resolving layout errors in Flutter apps, such as overflows and unbounded constraints. It uses the Dart and Flutter MCP tools and is triggered by error messages such as RenderFlex overflowed and vertical viewport given unbounded height. The skill explains Flutter's layout rule that constraints go down, sizes go up and the parent sets the position, and why layout breaks when that negotiation fails. It lists the common error signatures and what causes each. An unbounded height error usually comes from a scrollable such as ListView or GridView placed inside a Column that gives it infinite height. A text field that cannot have an unbounded width comes from a TextField placed in a Row with no width limit. A RenderFlex overflow means a child of a Row or Column asks for more space than it is given. An incorrect use of a parent data widget means Expanded or Positioned sits outside the Flex or Stack it needs. A RenderBox was not laid out error is a side effect, and the skill says to ignore it and look further up the stack trace for the real constraint violation. The skill then gives a workflow for fixing each case, with examples. It is useful for developers who see yellow and black overflow stripes in the debug view and want the agent to find the constraint at fault rather than hiding the symptom. It is listed on skills.sh, where the page shows install counts and GitHub stars for the collection.
