About geofeed-tuner

geofeed-tuner
Use this skill whenever the user mentions IP geolocation feeds, RFC 8805
geofeed-tuner is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection for creating, tuning, validating and publishing IP geolocation feeds. A geofeed is a CSV file, described by RFC 8805, that a network operator publishes to say which geographic locations its IP address ranges are in, so that services that map IP addresses to places can use the operator's own information. The skill makes sure the CSV is well formed and consistent, checks it against RFC 8805, and applies practical best practices from real-world deployments to improve accuracy, completeness and privacy. It suggests fixes for errors and for entries that are likely to mislead. Its intended audience is network operators, administrators and engineers responsible for publicly routable IP address space, including ISPs, mobile carriers, cloud and hosting providers, colocation companies, Internet Exchange operators and satellite internet providers. The skill is explicit that it applies only to publicly routable addresses and must not be used for private or internal address management. Publishing a geofeed makes the location claims public and affects how services locate the address space, so the operator should confirm each entry is accurate before publishing. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 1.3K installs, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing and Snyk showing a warning at the time of the scan.
