About gke-custom-golden-image-discovery

gke-custom-golden-image-discovery
Discovers golden base images
GKE golden image discovery is an agent skill for finding the right golden base image to build a custom GKE node image. It bridges a high-level description, such as I want Google's OS with a GPU, and the technical settings the image needs. When you do not know the exact configuration, the skill infers values from context clues and sensible defaults. The GKE version must be 1.34.1-gke.2909000 or later. The operating system defaults to COS, Google's container-optimized OS, unless you ask for Ubuntu or a standard Linux. The architecture defaults to x86-64 unless you mention ARM or Ampere, which means ARM64. gVisor is enabled only when you mention a sandbox, and accelerators are enabled when you name a GPU, a TPU or a hardware model such as T4, A100, H100 or L4. Enforced signed modules are enabled when you mention hardened nodes. The cgroup mode defaults to version 2 for modern clusters, and version 1 only if you call it legacy. The skill is intended for platform engineers who need a custom node image and want to be sure its settings match what the cluster expects. It is published by Google on skills.sh under the google skills repository, with about 3.1K installs. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.
