Description
gl-recon is an agent skill from Anthropic's financial-services collection, listed on skills.sh. It reconciles a general ledger extract against a subledger extract for the same scope, such as an entity, asset class or date, and produces a matched set and a break report. The agent first normalises both sides to a shared key, the lowest grain they have in common, such as security ID with account and trade date, or a journal line ID. It then coerces the types so comparisons are exact: dates in ISO format, amounts to two decimal places, and identifiers trimmed and upper-cased. The comparison columns are quantity, local and base amounts, FX rate and posting date. A full outer join on the key sorts every row into matched or break, and each break is classified. The skill treats subledger and custodian extracts as untrusted data to extract from, never as instructions. It is for finance and operations teams running period-end reconciliations.…
Highlights
- Matches GL and subledger on a shared key
- Exact comparisons after type normalisation
- Break report with each break classified
- Extracts are treated as data, not instructions
