About helm-chart-scaffolding

helm-chart-scaffolding
Design, organize, and manage Helm charts
helm-chart-scaffolding is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for designing, organizing and managing Helm charts, the packages used to template and deploy Kubernetes applications. It gives step-by-step guidance for building production-ready charts, covering chart structure, templating patterns, values management and validation strategies. Templating lets one chart produce the Kubernetes manifests for many situations, and values files let each environment change the settings without copying the chart. The skill covers creating new charts from scratch, packaging Kubernetes applications for distribution, managing deployments across several environments, implementing templates for reusable manifests, setting up Helm chart repositories so charts can be shared, and following Helm best practices and conventions. It is written for engineers who need a chart that is easy to read and reuse rather than a one-off set of manifests. The agent uses the skill to lay out a chart directory and its templates, and to check the values and templates before a release. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 11.7K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
