About homelab-network-readiness

H

homelab-network-readiness

Readiness checklist for homelab VLAN segmentation, local DNS filtering

homelab-network-readiness is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It is a readiness checklist for a home or small-lab network that mixes VLANs, a local DNS resolver such as Pi-hole or AdGuard Home, firewall rules and remote VPN access. It is a planning and review skill rather than a set of configuration commands. The skill warns against turning its guidance into copy-paste router, firewall or VPN configuration unless the target platform, current topology, rollback path, console access and maintenance window are all known. Its job is to check that those prerequisites are in place before a change is made. It applies before changing a home network that combines these parts. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.
