About Homer
Homer
Dead simple static homepage to expose your server services
Homer is a very simple static homepage for your server. It keeps your services and favorite links on hand, based on a simple YAML configuration file, and the result is a full static HTML and JavaScript dashboard with no backend to maintain. The project lists lightweight and fast operation, low or no maintenance, installation as a progressive web app, smart cards, fuzzy search, multiple pages with item grouping, and theme customization. Keyboard shortcuts let you press slash to start searching, Escape to stop, Enter to open the first match, and Alt or Option with Enter to open it in a new tab. Docker is the quickest route, and the container takes environment variables for the example assets, a subfolder path, the internal port and disabling IPv6. The container runs as user 1000 by default, which you can change to match the permissions of your assets directory. A release tarball is also available: rename the sample configuration file and place the dashboard behind any web server. The dashboard must be served over HTTP, and building it manually produces a dist directory. The project is free and open source, and its README lists a live demo and a Docker Hub image.
