About hybrid-cloud-networking

hybrid-cloud-networking

Configure secure, high-performance connectivity between on-premises

hybrid-cloud-networking is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for setting up secure, high-performance connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms. It covers the connection options that link a data center to a cloud: VPN tunnels over the public internet, and dedicated private connections such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect and Oracle FastConnect. The skill is written to cover AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI, with a connectivity section for each provider. It applies when connecting on-premises systems to the cloud, extending a data center into the cloud, setting up hybrid active-active designs where both sides serve traffic, meeting compliance requirements that dictate how traffic may travel, and migrating to the cloud gradually while parts of the system remain on-site. The guidance is about the network design: which connection fits the bandwidth, latency and security needs, and how to keep the link secure and reliable. Real network changes depend on your existing routers, firewalls, IP addressing and provider accounts, so the agent uses the skill to plan and document the configuration, and the team reviews it before anything goes live. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.4K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
