About industrial-brutalist-ui

industrial-brutalist-ui
Raw mechanical interfaces fusing Swiss typographic print
industrial-brutalist-ui is an agent skill in the OpenDesign project for building raw, mechanical web interfaces that combine mid-century Swiss typographic print with military and aerospace terminal aesthetics. It asks for rigid modular grids, extreme contrast in type scale, utilitarian color, and the simulation of analog wear, such as halftones, CRT scanlines and bitmap dithering. The skill describes two visual archetypes, and it says to pick one for a project and not mix them. The first is Swiss industrial print, drawn from 1960s corporate identity systems and heavy machinery manuals: a light, newsprint-like background, heavy sans-serif type, visible dividing lines, asymmetric use of negative space, oversized numerals, and primary red as the alert accent. The second is tactical telemetry and CRT terminal, drawn from military databases and head-up displays: dark mode only, dense tabular data, monospaced type, technical framing such as ASCII brackets and crosshairs, and simulated hardware limits like phosphor glow and scanlines. It is listed on skills.sh, with its security audit results shown there.
