About LiveContainer
LiveContainer
Run iOS apps without actually installing them!
LiveContainer is an app launcher for iPhone and iPad that runs iOS apps inside itself, without installing each one as a separate app on the device. The project describes it as a launcher rather than an emulator or hypervisor. You add IPA files through its plus button and choose which app to open. Because every app lives inside LiveContainer, you can install many more apps than the free developer account limit normally allows, and you can keep several versions of one app, each with its own data container. Where JIT is available on iOS versions below 26, the project says code signing is bypassed, so apps do not need to be signed before they are installed. Otherwise, apps are signed with the certificate that LiveContainer uses. Multitasking lets you run several apps at once in in-app windows that can be resized and shown in picture-in-picture, and on iPads apps can open in native system windows. LiveContainer comes as a standalone build or as a build with SideStore built in, and it requires iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, with multitasking from 16.0. Its maintainers warn that closed-source third-party builds can access the data of every app installed inside them, and that they do not support those builds.
