About margin-analyzer

M

margin-analyzer

Analyzes unit economics by product or service

margin-analyzer is a skill from Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins, listed on skills.sh. It analyses the unit economics of each product or service a small business sells, to answer questions such as whether to raise prices or whether margins are healthy. It identifies the items in scope, pulls cost data from QuickBooks, including cost of goods sold and direct expenses, and pulls revenue from PayPal or Square transaction history. It then computes revenue, cost, gross margin and margin percentage for each item. It benchmarks the results against inflation, changes in cost and industry norms where available, and builds pricing scenarios that show what a five, ten or fifteen percent price change would do to revenue and margin, using historical correlation where the data allows. The skill gives no price recommendation; it presents the analysis so that the owner can decide. The listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket as Pass, and Snyk as Warn.
