About marketing-council

marketing-council
Multiple expert perspectives on a marketing question
marketing-council is a marketing agent skill from the marketingskills collection that gives several expert perspectives on a marketing question, using a simulated board of advisors. The board is staffed with well-known marketers whose published frameworks, positions and known heuristics the skill applies to your specific problem. The value is in the disagreement: the advisors' lenses conflict in useful ways, so you see the real trade-offs before choosing a direction. The skill labels its output as a simulation, since it is persona-based and does not speak for the real people. Each take must be grounded in what that advisor actually wrote or said, according to the skill's grounding rules, so the perspectives stay tied to their sources. Before it convenes the council it asks what decision is under review, such as a strategy, a landing page, a pricing change, a launch plan, a rebrand or an ad account, what the stakes are and what has already been tried. It offers three session modes: a quick take, a council session, which is the default, and a full council. It suits founders and marketers who want to pressure-test a plan from several angles before committing. The simulated voices are a thinking aid, so verify any specific claim against the advisor's own published work. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh, and Snyk shows a warning. It has about 41,200 installs. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill marketing-council.
