The output includes all the files a connector needs: an apiDefinition.swagger.json describing the operations, an apiProperties.json with the connector's settings, a script.csx for the connector's logic, and the MCP server code itself. The skill follows the Copilot Studio MCP pattern, which marks the connector with the mcp-streamable-1.0 agentic protocol, speaks JSON-RPC 2.0, and exposes a streamable HTTP endpoint at /mcp. Schema constraints are set so that Copilot Studio can read the tools correctly. It is useful for developers who want to give a Copilot Studio agent access to their own systems, where a standard connector is not enough. Because the connector exposes operations that can act on real systems, each operation should be limited to what the agent needs, the endpoint should be secured with authentication, and the connector should be tested in a development environment before it is shared. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 8.7K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
