Configure mutual TLS (mTLS) for zero-trust service-to-service communication

mtls-configuration is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for configuring mutual TLS (mTLS) to secure service-to-service communication under a zero-trust model. In standard TLS only the server proves its identity to the client, but with mutual TLS both sides present certificates, so each service knows who it is talking to and traffic is encrypted. The skill explains the mTLS flow, the handshake in which both parties check each other's certificates, and the certificate management that keeps the system working, including rotation before certificates expire. It covers zero-trust networking, where no service is trusted just because it is inside the network, and it addresses securing service-to-service communication, multi-cluster communication, and the compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS and HIPAA, that often require encrypted, authenticated internal traffic. It also helps with debugging TLS handshake failures, which are a common source of trouble when mTLS is first switched on. The skill is aimed at platform and security engineers. Configuring certificates and identities touches live traffic, so changes should be tested in a non-production environment before they are rolled out. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.1K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
