Description
next-partial-prefetching-optimizer is an agent skill from Vercel's Next.js repository, listed on skills.sh. It optimises what selected client navigations include before the click, under Partial Prefetching. Each requested source link and its destination is treated as its own contract. The skill turns the prefetched UI, the navigation-only UI and the trigger into a production instant test, records the current behaviour, makes the smallest optimisation, verifies the difference against the baseline, and keeps the passing test as regression coverage. It reads the bundled guide on optimising prefetching first, which is the source of truth for prefetch stages, prefetch set to true, session-specific UI and cost trade-offs, and falls back to the online guide if it is missing. It applies after Cache Components and Partial Prefetching are in place. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.…
Highlights
- Per-link optimisation contracts
- Smallest change verified by a test
- Regression coverage kept
- Reads the bundled prefetching guide first
