plankton-code-quality

Write-time code quality enforcement using Plankton

plankton-code-quality is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It is an integration reference for Plankton, a write-time code quality system for Claude Code, credited to alxfazio. Plankton runs formatters and linters on every file edit through PostToolUse hooks, and where the agent missed a violation it starts Claude subprocesses to fix it. The design is three phases, and it guards against an agent changing linter configuration to make a check pass instead of fixing the code. It can route fixes to different models by difficulty, with Haiku for simple style, Sonnet for logic and Opus for types. The skill supports Python, TypeScript, Shell, YAML, JSON, TOML, Markdown and Dockerfiles. It applies when someone wants formatting and linting on each edit rather than only at commit time. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows a Socket warning, with Gen Agent Trust Hub and Snyk passing.
