playwright-explore-website

Automated website exploration and test case generation using Playwright

playwright-explore-website is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection that explores a website automatically and generates test cases from what it finds, using the Playwright MCP server. The agent navigates to the URL it is given, or asks for one if none is provided, and identifies three to five core features or user flows. It interacts with each one, documents the user actions, the relevant UI elements and their locators, and the outcome it expects, then closes the browser context and gives a concise summary. From those findings it proposes and generates test cases. The skill is useful for testers who want a quick map of an unfamiliar site and a first set of regression tests, and for developers who want to confirm that the main flows work. Because the agent interacts with a live site, it should be pointed only at sites the user is allowed to test, and it should not submit forms that create real accounts, make purchases or change live data without the user's approval. The generated tests reflect what the exploration saw, so they should be reviewed for coverage of cases that a casual visit would miss. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 14.8K installs. At the time of the scan, Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passed and Snyk showed a warning.
