About ponytail-review

ponytail-review
Quality review of a change: is the logic right, is it safe
ponytail-review is an agent skill from the dietrichgebert ponytail collection, listed on skills.sh. It reviews a change the way a senior developer who will be paged when it breaks would. The change can be uncommitted or staged work, a branch, a pull request link or specific files, and if nothing is named it reviews the uncommitted changes or the last commit. The review checks, in order of importance, that the logic is correct, the change is safe, it holds under load, risky code is tested, it is fast enough, and every line is needed. The review first reads the diff and the code it touches, including the callers of changed functions, since a change can break code it does not touch. It traces the real flow of data, works out the expected load from the README and deploy configuration, and states the load it assumed. The report is given in full. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.
