prisma-postgres-setup is an agent skill that gets a Prisma Postgres database ready and connects an application to it. It first inspects the project for the ORM or driver in use, the installed packages, the database connection and the files that load environment variables, checking that secrets are present without printing them. It then reuses an existing connection when one is configured, or sets up a new database through the right route. A database that comes from the Vercel Marketplace uses the native integration flow. A standalone persistent database is provisioned through an authenticated CLI, an MCP tool, the Console or the Management API. For a temporary development database, the skill follows the create-db steps, including expiry and claiming. It keeps database provisioning separate from ORM configuration, so an existing database is reused rather than recreated, and it respects explicit choices such as Drizzle, the pg driver or database-only setup.
