About recipe-save-email-attachments

R

recipe-save-email-attachments

Automated workflow to find Gmail attachments and save them

recipe-save-email-attachments is a recipe skill from the Google Workspace CLI project, listed on skills.sh. It finds Gmail messages that have attachments, and saves the attachments to a Google Drive folder. The four steps are to search for messages with attachments from a particular sender, to get the details of a message, to download an attachment by its message and attachment IDs, and to upload the file to a Drive folder with gws drive +upload, using the folder ID. The example searches for messages with has:attachment from one client. It needs the gws-gmail and gws-drive skills. The recipe reads the mail and writes new files to Drive, and it does not delete or change any messages. It suits people who receive documents by email, such as invoices or signed forms, and want them filed in a shared folder without downloading and uploading each one by hand.
