rtk-tdd

Enforces TDD (Red-Green-Refactor) for Rust development

rtk-tdd is an agent skill that enforces test-driven development, using the Red-Green-Refactor cycle, for Rust work in the RTK project. It triggers on implementation, testing, refactoring and bug-fixing tasks, so the assistant does not write production code before a failing test exists. The skill sets out the three laws of TDD. Do not write production code without a failing test. Write only enough test to fail, and that includes a compile failure. Write only enough production code to pass the failing test. The working loop is red, where the test fails, then green, where the minimum code makes it pass, then refactor, where the code is cleaned up and cargo test is run again. The skill gives Rust-idiomatic guidance on how to write those tests and steps for each phase. It is useful for contributors who want the assistant to build features and fixes in small verified steps, and it helps prevent untested changes from reaching review. It is tied to the RTK project's use of cargo for testing. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh.
