About ruby-mcp-server-generator

ruby-mcp-server-generator
Generate production-ready MCP servers in Ruby using the official SDK
ruby-mcp-server-generator is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection that generates a complete Model Context Protocol (MCP) server project in Ruby, using the official MCP Ruby SDK gem. The generated project includes the directory structure, tools, prompts and resources, along with tests and configuration files that follow Ruby conventions. Tools are defined with input and output schemas and with annotations, and their structured content is returned in a form clients can read. It is useful for Ruby developers who want to give an AI assistant access to their own code, data or services through a server they control, without writing the protocol plumbing themselves. A server exposes tools that can act on real systems, so each tool should be limited to what is needed and reviewed before a client connects to it. Any remote server should be secured with authentication before it is reachable by others. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 8.6K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
