It looks at the links and referring domains pointing at a site, the anchor text they use, signals that suggest toxic links, the profiles of competitors, the link gaps between them and you, and candidates for a disavow file. Before it starts, the skill checks which data sources are available. A DataForSEO MCP connection is used as a premium source when it is present. Moz, Bing Webmaster and Keywords Everywhere each offer a free sign-up for richer data, such as domain rank and referring-domain counts. Common Crawl provides a domain-level graph with PageRank, and a verification crawler checks whether known backlinks still exist, and both work without any setup. If only those always-available sources are present, the skill still produces a report from Common Crawl's domain metrics and suggests running a setup command to add the free keys. The skill is meant for requests where links or referring domains are the focus. It is installed with npx skills from the claude-seo repository.
