About Server
Server
A simple server for sending and receiving messages in real-time per WebSocket
Gotify is a simple server for sending and receiving messages in real time over WebSocket. The gotify/server component is the core: it has a web interface and functions for sending messages through a REST API, subscribing to messages through a WebSocket connection, and managing users, clients and applications. The project also offers an Android client, gotify/android, which subscribes to the message stream of the server and shows push notifications for new messages, and a command-line client, gotify/cli, for pushing messages from a terminal. The CLI is optional, because any HTTP client can push messages to the server. The docs include an API reference and a guide to pushing messages. The releases are published on GitHub, with the latest server, Android and CLI builds available there. It suits people who want to run their own notification endpoint, for example to receive alerts from scripts or home servers on their phone.
