Description
sessions is an agent skill from the Microsoft VS Code repository, listed on skills.sh. It is the core-principles guide and workflow router for changes to the Agents Window, which lives under src/vs/sessions. It applies to implementation, review and design work in that folder. Its rules cover layering, so the sessions code may import the workbench but the workbench must never import sessions. Shared Sessions code must stay provider-neutral. Mutable session and chat state is modelled with observables rather than events, and Sessions menus are registered in the menus file. Contributions come in through the appropriate sessions entry point, and Sessions-owned adaptations are preferred over changes to shared workbench code. The skill starts from the Sessions README and then reads only the specifications relevant to the change. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows all three security audits passing.…
