About shape

shape
Structured UX and UI planning through discovery interview
shape is an agent skill from the impeccable design project for planning the UX and UI of a feature before any code is written. It runs a structured discovery interview that covers the purpose of the feature, the users, the content, the design goals, the constraints and the anti-goals, and it produces a design brief that can be handed to /impeccable craft, /impeccable or another implementation skill. The skill is built on the idea that AI-generated interfaces often fail because the thinking was skipped, for example by jumping straight to a card grid without asking what the user is trying to do. During the discovery phase the skill does not write code or make design decisions. Its only job is to understand the feature well enough to make good decisions later. The output is a planning document, not an implementation, so the skill's scope is design planning only. It requires the /impeccable skill, which holds the design principles, anti-patterns and Context Gathering Protocol, and if no design context exists it tells the user to run /impeccable teach first. It suits product managers, designers and developers who want to agree on a brief with stakeholders before building a new screen or flow. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/pbakaus/impeccable --skill shape. On skills.sh it passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk.
