About show-me-your-work

show-me-your-work
Keep a reviewable decision trail
show-me-your-work is an agent skill from Cursor's plugins collection that keeps a reviewable decision trail for long-running or unattended work. It records a single canonical log as a tab-separated file with one row per decision, so that someone who was not present can see what was chosen, why, what proves it, and what came of it. Each row has a timestamp, the phase or workstream, a one-line statement of what was done, the reason in plain words, a pointer to the evidence, and the result. The evidence column is a link or path, such as a commit hash, a pull request number, a file and line, or the path to a trace or screenshot, and never a paragraph. The result records the outcome, for example that tests are green, a change was reverted, a pixel difference is zero, or the result was inconclusive. The skill says to start a clean log by copying a template header row, and it asks that any principle behind a decision be stated plainly rather than as a jargon tag. The log is local by default. The skill is useful for agents that run for a long time without supervision, because the human who returns later can audit the choices quickly and re-run the evidence. It is listed on skills.sh, where the page shows install counts and GitHub stars for the Cursor plugins repository.
