skill-creator

Create new skills, modify and improve existing skills

skill-creator is an agent skill from the DeerFlow project for writing new agent skills and improving existing ones. It describes an iterative loop: decide what the skill should do, write a draft, run a few test prompts with the skill available, evaluate the results both qualitatively and with metrics, rewrite the skill based on what the tests show, and repeat until the results are good. It includes steps for drafting quantitative evals when a skill has none, for explaining them to the user, and for reviewing results in a viewer script that generates a review page. The skill can start from nothing, helping you narrow down a vague idea such as I want a skill for a task, or it can jump straight to evaluating a draft you already have. It is aimed at people who maintain their own agent skills and want a repeatable way to measure whether a change made them better. Because it covers evaluation as well as writing, it is more than a template. It passes Gen Agent Trust Hub and Snyk on skills.sh, and Socket shows a warning.
