Guidance for effectively searching Slack to find messages, files, channels
by anthropicsFree
Description
Slack-search is an agent skill that gives guidance for finding messages, files, channels and people in Slack. It is used whenever an agent needs to locate a conversation or gather context from Slack before answering a question. The skill sets out which search tool to use in each case. Searching public channels is available without extra consent, while searching private channels, direct messages and group DMs requires the user's consent. Other tools find channels by name or description, and find people by name, email or role. It also describes a search strategy for narrowing results down. The skill is meant to be used alongside a Slack connection, and it is part of Anthropic's knowledge-work plugins.…
