About smoke-test

smoke-test

Create a Mastra project using create-mastra

Smoke-test is an agent skill that creates a new Mastra project with create-mastra and then runs a smoke test of Mastra Studio in Chrome. It is for checking that a released version of Mastra works from a clean start. You pass the target directory, the project name and the version tag, and you can add the package manager and the LLM provider as options. The skill then drives the Studio in Chrome through the Chrome MCP server, so the test covers the real interface rather than only the code. It is intended for Claude Code with the Chrome MCP server. A separate skill, mastracode-smoke-test, covers MastraCode, which has its own built-in browser tools. The skill is published by the Mastra team on skills.sh and is useful as a release check, or after a change that could affect project creation or the Studio startup. Because it creates a project on disk, run it in a directory you are happy to fill with a new project.
