Description
Tax-prep is an agent skill that prepares tax materials for a business in two linked steps, always in the right order. First, month-end-prep confirms the books are closed and reconciled. Then tax-season-organizer calculates the tax figures from those books. The skill explains why the order matters: an estimate worked out on unreconciled books is a number the owner may later send to the tax authority. You choose a mode with the mode option, which is quarterly, 1099, or both. By default it infers the mode from the date, using both from October through January and quarterly otherwise. The year option sets the tax year and defaults to the current year. Every deliverable opens with the words prepared for review by your accountant, not tax advice. A ledger is required, from MYOB, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero or Zoho Books, depending on which one is connected.
