About typespec-create-agent

typespec-create-agent
Generate a complete TypeSpec declarative agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot
typespec-create-agent is an agent skill from the github/awesome-copilot collection that generates a complete TypeSpec declarative agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot. The output is a main.tsp file that declares the agent with the agent decorator, sets its instructions with the instructions decorator, defines its conversation starters, and lists its capabilities, following Microsoft's TypeSpec schema for Microsoft 365 Copilot. The skill sets limits from that schema: the agent name is kept to a hundred characters or fewer, the description to a thousand or fewer, and the instructions to under eight thousand characters. Instructions are written to set the agent's role, expertise and personality, and to say what it should and should not do. It is useful for developers who want a declarative agent for their organization and a starting point that already meets the schema. The instructions define how the agent behaves and what it can reach through its capabilities, so the capabilities should be limited to what the agent needs, and the agent should be tested before it is shared with users. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the github/awesome-copilot repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 8.7K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
