About upstash-workflow

upstash-workflow
Upstash Workflow/QStash handlers, triggers, durable steps and async fan-out
upstash-workflow is an agent skill from the LobeHub repository with the standard patterns for building asynchronous background jobs on Upstash Workflow and QStash. It explains the three patterns that every LobeHub workflow combines and the reasons for them. The platform limits rate, so blind fan-out can be dangerous, it caps the number of steps in one workflow, and retries must not process the same item twice. The patterns are dry-run mode, which reports statistics without triggering a real run, fan-out, which splits a large batch into smaller chunks that run in parallel, and single-task execution, where each workflow run processes exactly one item. The skill also describes the three-layer architecture that all workflows follow. It is for contributors who add or change a workflow, such as a job that processes many records, and need to keep it within the platform's limits. It is a guide to design rather than a deployment tool, so it does not set up the Upstash account itself. The skill passes Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk on skills.sh. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/lobehub/lobehub --skill upstash-workflow.
