It covers writing formulas and formatting with openpyxl, bulk data in and out with pandas, a quick look at a sheet, and reading a model that has both formulas and values. The skill does not assume that packages are installed. It advises reusing a suitable environment, or running with uv and a pinned openpyxl version. Optional tabular readers should be installed only when needed, and MarkItDown needs its spreadsheet extra. The bundled workflow was exercised with openpyxl 3.1.5 and LibreOffice 26.2.4.2, and the skill notes that current online LibreOffice help describes a later version. Use it when a spreadsheet is the thing you need to produce or change, such as a model with live formulas or a formatted report. For text documents, a different skill applies.
