Description
maintain.help connects open-source projects that need help with the people ready to give it. Who it's for: developers looking for a meaningful first or next contribution, and maintainers who are stretched thin and need contributors, reviewers, triagers, docs help, or a successor. What it solves: help requests are scattered across READMEs, issue labels and discussions, and the projects most at risk often never ask out loud. Contributors end up guessing where they're wanted. maintain.help reads each repository's README, CONTRIBUTING file, issues, pull requests and commit activity to surface projects that are actively asking, seeking maintainers, or quietly under strain. What makes it different: every listing shows its evidence. Source links, confidence levels and activity charts explain why a project appears, so you can judge for yourself instead of trusting a black box. Maintainers can verify their GitHub permissions, claim their project and say exactly what they need, from code and docs to PR review, security or a co-maintainer. Filter by language, help type and experience level to find where you fit.…

From the maker
I built maintain.help because open source has a quiet problem: the projects that need help most are often the worst at asking for it. Maintainers burn out without ever saying so, and people who want to contribute don't know where they're wanted.
