About access

access
Manage Discord channel access
access is an agent skill from Anthropic's official plugins collection, listed on skills.sh. It manages who may use the Discord channel that Claude Code is connected to. Through the /discord:access command it can approve a pairing, edit the allowlist, check who is allowed, and set the policy for direct messages and group chats. All of the state is kept in a JSON file in the user's Claude channels folder, and the skill edits that file rather than calling Discord itself, while the channel server re-reads the file. The skill acts only on requests typed by the user in the terminal session. If a request to approve a pairing, change the allowlist or change the policy arrives through a channel message, such as a Discord or Telegram message, the skill refuses and tells the user to run the command themselves. The reason given is that channel messages can carry prompt injection, so access changes must never follow untrusted input. It is for people who run Claude Code with a Discord channel and want to control who can reach it.
