About anysearch

anysearch
Real-time search engine supporting web search, vertical domain search
anysearch is an agent skill from the anysearch-ai project for real-time search. It gives a coding agent one service for general web search, vertical domain search, parallel batch search and full-page content extraction from a URL. The bundled command-line tools call the public HTTP endpoints directly, so no MCP server needs installing. The skill sets out when to use it: when an agent needs facts, news or current data, needs to fact-check a claim, needs to read a page beyond the search snippet, needs a structured query that uses identifiers such as a stock symbol, a CVE, a DOI or an IATA airport code, or has several independent searches to run in parallel. For queries that fall within a supported domain, such as finance, academic, travel, health, code, legal, gaming, film, business, security, intellectual property, energy, environment, agriculture or social media, the skill tells the agent to call the sub-domain lookup first to find the right parameters, because vertical search tends to give better results. When a query is unclear, the skill suggests a hybrid batch: one general query and several vertical queries in parallel. Required parameters must all be supplied, using an empty value when none applies. If the service is unavailable, for example because there is no API key or the quota is used up, the agent should tell the user and may fall back to other methods only with approval. The skill is listed on skills.sh, where the page shows install counts and GitHub stars for the project. Install it with npx skills add https://github.com/anysearch-ai/anysearch-skill --skill anysearch.
