About context-budget

context-budget
Routes live context checks
context-budget is an agent skill from the ECC collection by affaan-m, listed on skills.sh. It answers questions about how much context a session has used or has left. By default it uses the provider's own meter, Codex or Claude Code, and it does not scan files, run shell commands or discover MCP servers to do so. For a plain question about the current window, remaining capacity, headroom or a token breakdown, the agent replies with the native command and one short explanation. A separate, estimated audit of installed components is available, but only when a person explicitly asks for it, so the default path stays light. It is useful when a long session is nearing its limit and you want the real figure rather than an estimate from the agent. A skill is a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task calls for it. It is free and open source, and the skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.
