About context-driven-development

C

context-driven-development

Creates and maintains project context artifacts

context-driven-development is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection for creating and maintaining project context as a managed set of files alongside the code. It works with a conductor/ directory that holds artifacts such as product.md, tech-stack.md, workflow.md and tracks.md, which describe what the product is, the technology it uses, how the team works and what work is in progress. Keeping this context in the repository lets AI assistants start each session with the same understanding of the project, which the skill presents as the way to get consistent AI interactions and team alignment. The skill covers scaffolding new projects from the context artifacts, understanding how the artifacts relate to each other, deciding when a context document should be updated, and onboarding a team member to an existing project. It also addresses the difference between greenfield projects, which start from nothing, and brownfield projects, which already have code and history. Detailed patterns and worked examples are kept in a reference file that the agent reads when needed. The skill is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 10.9K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
