About convex-advisor

convex-advisor
Read the Convex deployment's 72h insights
convex-advisor is an agent skill that reads a live Convex deployment's health insights and turns them into findings about performance and cost. Static code review can only guess at what is slow, but the deployment records what actually happened over the last 72 hours. The official Convex MCP provides an insights tool with typed health events for each function, covering hard read limits for documents and bytes, approaching-threshold warnings, and write contention events, where a write failed permanently or was retried. Each event carries evidence, such as the table name, bytes and documents read, and the document involved in a conflict with its retry count. The skill takes each event and reads the flagged function's code to find the root cause, then reports findings backed by that evidence, each with a suggested fix. It is part of the get-convex agent-skills repository and is added to a compatible agent with the skills command. Because it depends on the Convex MCP insights tool, it needs that connection to be set up in the agent. It suits developers who already run a Convex app in production and want advice based on real usage rather than a code guess.
