About copilotkit-channels

copilotkit-channels
The CODE half of a managed Intelligence Channel
copilotkit-channels is an agent skill from the CopilotKit project's skills collection, listed on skills.sh. It covers the code side of a managed Intelligence Channel, which lets an agent answer in Slack or Microsoft Teams. In a managed channel, Intelligence owns the provider edge, including signed ingress, egress and credential storage, and delivers each turn to the user's runtime over a realtime transport. The skill covers CopilotIntelligenceRuntime, app-api Channel resources and the realtime gateway. It deliberately excludes the self-hosted @copilotkit/channels adapter packages for Slack, Teams, Discord, Telegram and WhatsApp, which hold provider credentials in the user's own process. Because both products use the words channels and Slack, the skill tells the agent to confirm which one the user means. The first decision is whether the project was scaffolded by npx copilotkit init, in which case the channel host already exists and should be customised, or whether it predates the Channel, in which case a separate wiring section applies. Creating a second channel declaration would make two declarations fight over one Channel, so the skill warns against it.
