design-md

Analyze Stitch design projects

design-md is a Stitch skill that analyzes a Stitch design project and writes a DESIGN.md file, a semantic design system that serves as the source of truth for prompting Stitch to generate new screens. The file captures the existing design language so that new screens match it. Stitch interprets design through visual descriptions backed by specific color values, and the skill writes the DESIGN.md in that form. To run it you need access to the Stitch MCP server and a Stitch project with at least one designed screen. The skill uses the MCP server tools to retrieve screen metadata, the HTML and CSS source of each screen and its design assets, and from those it extracts design tokens and visual patterns. Its instructions cast the agent as a design systems lead whose job is to analyze the technical assets and synthesize the design system. The skill also points to Stitch's effective prompting guide for writing good prompts. It is installed with npx skills from the google-labs-code/stitch-skills repository, and its security audits show Gen Agent Trust Hub and Socket passing, with Snyk showing a warning.
