About engineering-drawing

engineering-drawing
Make an engineering drawing of a part as a PDF
Engineering drawing is an agent skill that makes a shop-ready engineering drawing of a part as a single PDF. The drawing contains orthographic views with hidden lines and centre marks, real dimensions, hole callouts, notes and a title block on an ISO-style sheet with a frame. The views and dimensions are generated from the part's geometry, not drawn by hand, so when you change the model and rerun the drawing script, the views, hidden lines and measured values update with it. Nothing on the sheet is a number that was typed in, unless you chose to override a value. The output is a PDF because that is what a manufacturer receives and what any operating system can open. The skill does not write a DXF, and it has no command-line interface: the drawing script is the interface. It is separate from the DXF skill, which produces cut layouts and flat patterns as toolpaths rather than documents. It is aimed at mechanical designers who need a document to send to a machine shop or a fabricator with dimensions they can trust. It is published by earthtojake on skills.sh under the text-to-cad repository, with about 1.4K installs. The skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passing.
