About extension-email-verification

extension-email-verification
Support for sending an email
extension-email-verification is a skill that proves an address belongs to the person who enters it. The backend sends an email with a link that contains a verification token, and when the recipient clicks the link, the app confirms the token and records the address as verified. The skill stores the tokens in verificationTokens and the verified addresses in verifiedEmails, and it uses the MixinEmailVerification mixin to confirm them. The link in the email points to a /verify-email page on the app's own frontend, which is reachable without signing in and renders a button that calls confirm(). The skill lists a five-step setup that is mandatory: add the mops packages for verification and email, add the two state fields and initialize them in the migration chain, include the verification mixin in main.mo, send with EmailVerification.sendVerificationEmail, and add the frontend package and the public route. The email body must contain the {{VERIFICATION_URL}} placeholder. The skill warns that without the frontend route the recipient lands on a missing page and the address is never verified. The skill is part of the caffeinelabs skills collection, and the skills.sh listing shows Gen Agent Trust Hub, Socket and Snyk all passed.
