About figure-it-out

figure-it-out
Design an auditable playbook
figure-it-out is an agent skill from Cursor's plugins collection for designing an auditable playbook when no narrower playbook fits: a large migration, an ambitious multi-part change, or work that a human will review after stepping away. Before any code, the deliverable is the workflow itself, a sequence of phases whose rigour scales with the task. The first phase, frame, requires the agent to state a falsifiable definition of done, to quantify the scope in rough units and effort, including the blockers grounding has surfaced, and to set a rigour level biased towards caution. One-way doors and high blast radius steps get more gates and artefacts, and reversible low-stakes steps get fewer; the skill describes rigour as gates and artefacts rather than trying harder. The agent presents the framing and tradeoffs before committing to a long run, while reversible work can proceed. The skill begins by reading the principles section of another skill, the poteto-mode skill, and it follows the scientific method with a decision trail a person can audit. It suits teams that have a large change with no existing template and want a plan they can check. It is listed on skills.sh, where the page shows install counts and GitHub stars for the Cursor plugins repository, and its security audits all pass.
