About git-advanced-workflows

git-advanced-workflows
Advanced Git history management
git-advanced-workflows is an agent skill from the wshobson/agents collection that covers advanced Git history management: rebasing, cherry-picking, bisect, worktrees and reflog recovery. Its purpose is to keep history clean and to recover from mistakes. Interactive rebase lets you squash, reword, reorder and drop commits to tidy a branch before it is merged. Cherry-pick applies a specific commit from one branch to another. Bisect uses a binary search through the history to find the commit that introduced a bug. Worktrees let you work on several branches at once in separate folders, and reflog helps recover commits or branch positions that seem lost. The skill is useful for cleaning up commit history before merging, applying specific commits across branches, finding the commit that introduced a bug, working on several features at the same time, recovering from Git mistakes or lost commits, managing complex branch workflows, preparing clean pull requests for review, and bringing diverged branches back in step. Several of these operations rewrite history, so the skill is best used on branches that have not been shared with others or with care when they have. It is installed with the skills CLI from the wshobson/agents repository. Its skills.sh page showed about 19.0K installs and passing results from three security audits at the time of the scan.
