About Ios Oss
Ios Oss
Kickstarter for iOS. Bring new ideas to life, anywhere
This is Kickstarter's open source iOS app, published so people can see how the native team builds and maintains it. It is written in Swift and built with Xcode, and the README says the project currently supports Xcode 26.6. To try it, you clone the repository, and you can set KsApi.Secrets.isOSS to true to use a mock version that serves hard-coded data instead of the live service. The feature folders contain nearly 600 snapshot screenshots of screens in many languages, devices and edge-case states, which are kept as regression checks. The team describes its view models as pure mappings from input signals to output signals, and says they are tested for localization, accessibility and event tracking. Tests run from the command line with make test-all, or for a single scheme by selecting it in Xcode and pressing Command-U. The project relies on first-party libraries called Prelude and ReactiveExtensions, along with a list of third-party libraries whose notices are kept in NOTICE.md. The team says the project is meant as an educational resource, and bugs should be reported as GitHub issues with the operating system, device, version and steps to reproduce. Kickstarter has also open sourced its Android app.
