openspec-sync-specs

Sync delta specs from an OpenSpec change to main specs

openspec-sync-specs is an agent skill from the OpenSpec project that updates the main specifications with the changes in a change's delta specs, without archiving the change. It is an agent-driven operation: the assistant reads the delta specs and edits the main specs directly, which lets it merge intelligently. For example, it can add one scenario to an existing requirement without copying the whole requirement across. Use it when you want the main specs to reflect a change that is still in progress or that you are not ready to archive. It runs the usual OpenSpec checks first. If the work lives in a registered store, the skill selects it and keeps the store id for every command. Before it writes, it confirms that the project has an OpenSpec root, and it stops rather than creating an openspec folder when the project is not set up. A project that uses OpenSpec through a store the machine cannot resolve is reported as an error, not treated as new. Because the skill edits the main specs by hand, read the diff it produces before you rely on it, since a wrong merge in a spec affects every later change that builds on it.
