About peer-review

P

peer-review

Prepares evidence-bounded

peer-review is an agent skill that helps an accountable human reviewer write a rigorous, fair and actionable assessment of a scientific manuscript. It prepares evidence-bounded, constructive review drafts and structured assessments. It treats every unpublished submission and review as confidential, and it sets a firm safety boundary before any manuscript is read. You must confirm that you are authorised by the publisher, editor, author or other owner of the material, and check the target venue's review, confidentiality, co-review, retention and AI-tool policies. The skill asks you to record conflicts of interest, the limits of your competence, the scope you were asked to review, and whether a specialist should look at parts of it. It defaults to local-only processing. If authorisation is unclear, it will not inspect or quote the manuscript, and it limits itself to an intake validator or to synthetic and public examples until the question is resolved. It also points out that running a bundled tool locally does not make a hosted assistant session local, so any manuscript text read into a hosted assistant counts as external processing for venue policy.
